I have been providing psychotherapy since 1989. My original training in body-oriented techniques continues to inform the way I think and listen during sessions. For nearly three decades, I have focused my studies and practice on a psychoanalytic approach, which means I am keenly interested in how unconscious beliefs affect our actions. My passion for and belief in psychotherapy motivates me to explore deeply my own psychic terrain.
I received my Master's Degree in 1989 and was licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 1993. Since getting my Master's I have continued my studies through various courses and long-term trainings through The Psychotherapy Institute, the Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and case conferences led by senior psychoanalysts. I currently teach and supervise at The Psychotherapy Institute, and supervise newly licensed and experienced clinicians.
